Welcome to second grade! This year is going to be filled with creativity, exploration, and fun. We are truly looking forward to helping our students foster a love of learning. We believe children have unique learning styles and we'll do our best to encourage and support each of them. It is important to us that our second-grade family values individuality and respect for one another, kindness is key.

I'm Mrs. McLean. I was born and raised in Camarillo and was a student in PVSD.  I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies from San Francisco State University and my Teaching Credential from Cal State Channel Islands.  I have also lived abroad.  I was fortunate enough to spend a year in Barcelona, Spain teaching English.  I  live in Newbury Park with my husband, Matt and son, Henry. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading, researching my family history, listening to Taylor Swift, and drinking coffee. I have been happily working at SRTMS since 2007!

I'm Mrs. Frederick. Let me tell you a bit about myself. I was raised here in Camarillo but decided to go to college in the Bay Area. I attended Sonoma State University where I earned my BA in Psychology and met my husband, Steven. We decided to move back to Southern California so that I could pursue my dream of becoming a teacher. I attended Cal State Channel Islands where I received my teaching credential. A couple years later, we were blessed with our daughter Olivia, who's nine and a few years after that, our son Everett, who's 5. We currently live in Simi Valley with our German Shepard (Ben), two cats (Coco and Simba) and our hedgehog (Pearl). In my free time I love to read, travel, and spend quality time with my family and friends.
